Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy explains what information Edict (“we”, “us”) collects through heyedict.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Edict is in development. This policy covers the website and the early-access list; we’ll update it before the product itself processes any customer data.

What we collect

When you request early access, we collect what you type into the form:

  • Required: your work email, your team’s tracker and your team’s chat tool.
  • Optional: your name, company, role, team size, what you’d want your PM never to miss, and whether you’d like to be a design partner.

Our hosting provider also processes standard technical data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it

  • To contact you about early access and Edict’s launch.
  • To decide which tools and problems to support first.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t share it with anyone except the service providers listed below. We only email you about Edict, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Legal basis

Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on your consent (you submitted the form) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the website. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who processes it

  • Vercel: hosts the website.
  • Supabase: stores early-access requests in a database in the United States.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own security and data-protection terms. If you’re outside the United States, your information is transferred to and stored there.

How long we keep it

We keep early-access requests until Edict launches publicly and for up to 24 months afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@heyedict.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. The key the website uses to save requests can add new entries but can’t read existing ones back. Access to stored requests is limited to the Edict team.

Children

heyedict.com is meant for professionals and isn’t directed at anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If the change is significant, we’ll email the people on our early-access list.
